• Elsi® Smart Floor saves nurses’ time and influences positively
to the working environment creating a feeling of safety among
nurses and enhancing the quality of care.
• It helps to prevent accidents and keeps nurses informed and
up-to-date on the residents’ condition and abilities: for example,
sleeping medication can be adjusted individually based on the
data provided by the Smart Care User Interface.
• Elsi® Smart Floor has an enormous effect in elderly care when
installed and implemented properly in addition to active use
by nursing staff, not to forget the importance of the managers’
strong support.
• Elsi® Smart Floor helped the nurses in targeting their fall
prevention efforts individually to those with a high risk of falling
- monthly diurnal changes in falls before and during Elsi® Smart
Floor usage are presented in the “injuries reduced” table.
In conclusion, Elsi® Smart Floor turned out to be a quality improvement tool for nursing managers as well as to nurses.
I’ve already worked in multiple centres
with Elsi ® Smart Floors, and the system has be-
come a significant partner for the staff. The most
important factor is the calmness it brings.
The invisible smart floors enable staff and resi-
dents to feel at ease. Safety has a hugely positive
impact on the entire nursing home.
