Elsi® Smart Floor pilot project conducted by the City of Helsinki together with Aalto University between 2006 and 2010 clearly proved the
benefits of Elsi® Smart Floor Solution. Not only were the cost savings in all related areas clear, but also the direct feedback from nurses
and residents was extremely positive and encouraging.

The further study on the effectiveness of Elsi® Smart Floor conducted in 2012 concluded that the care home unit equipped with Elsi®
Smart Floor Solution is perceived as a more attractive working place for nurses, because it allowed them to focus their care on the needs
of the residents. In 2017, the system was expanded to also include eLsa™ Activity Sensing, which can be easily placed, for example,
in the toilet.

Nursing staff and visiting family reported a more resident-oriented care in the Elsi® Smart Floor ward compared to other equivalent wards.
